When the light of education falls on the mirror of our minds, the rays emanating from that mirror removes the darkness of ignorance from the society. Education is a weapon with the help of which a person changes his life. After getting education, a man is able to truly identify himself. An educated person has a thorough knowledge of his duty towards not only the family, but also society and country.
Education is the tool that helps us stand up to all the challenges in our life. It keeps us happy and peaceful. And, at the same time it shows humans, how to live a better social life. A good education removes all the doubts, fears, and darkness from our lives. It helps us find a beautiful career in this big world. Education decorates and embellishes our lives.
Today man has reached the moon as a result of education. In old times people used to ride on horse, foot and bullock cart to get from one place to another, which used to take a lot of time. But today, motorcycles, trains, cars, airplanes, etc. are used, which cover thousands of miles in a short time. If people would not have taken education, then today we would not be able to enjoy all these facilities.
Only after getting education, people have invented computers, mobiles, machines and new technologies, with which we are making our life easier than before. Today, major diseases are easily treated. This has been possible due to education. Just as the entire diet provides strength to our body, in the same way, education makes us strong and beautiful, both from inside and outside.
Man is incomplete without education. Just as clean water cleanses the dirt of our body, education removes dirt, evil and darkness from our lives and brings light, goodness and happiness to our lives. It teaches us to respect elders and love the younger ones. It teaches us to appreciate our parents and gets creates a new way of understanding the world.
An educated person plays an important role in the development of family, society and country. Education gives man the highest style of living. It creates knowledge of self by creating good character in us. As rightly pointed out by Abraham Lincoln-
The philosophy of the school room in one generation will be the philosophy of government in the next.
During my wanderings around the globe for my studies and various businesses, I have come to realize that education is the foremost instrument that we can equip our youngsters with, to make them better people. They can contribute to the society with much more zeal and enthusiasm if we give them an all-encompassing education which brings out the best in them.
Theodore Roosevelt says- To educate a man in mind and not in morals is to educate a menace to society.
So, we have taken it upon ourselves to give moral education to the future generation so that they can become a race of nation-loving citizens who abide by rules and are guided by the light of truth and inner peace. The school takes proper care in ensuring that the students don’t fall into the traps of a materialistic lifestyle which is always filled with darkness. Instead, they are encouraged to spread their horizon and explore the world through the lens of hard work and loyalty. Whatever material gains they will have are just a consequence of how much hard work they put in these formative years.
Oxford English School Chidambaram is not all about studies only. We have meticulously planned the curriculum in such a way that sports and extra-curricular activities have been given their due importance. Sports are a nice way of inculcating the traits of leadership, sportsmanship, working in a team and learning from their mistakes; in the youths of today.

Both the students and teachers have put in commendable efforts to achieve these feats. I wish them all the best for future endeavors to bring glory to the name of our school.
My dream is to give the students and opportunity for quality education especially English education which is much more crucial in the current globalized world, where students go abroad to continue their education. To satisfy the aspirations and ambitions of parents, The Oxford English School has been founded in Chidambaram.
I invite all the parents to explore the facilities provide by the school for the betterment of their child’s future and give them a chance to make a mark for themselves. My heartfelt best wishes to all the students and teachers for the coming year.
